5. Lack of Impulse Control
A lack of impulse control can be the reason behind why some children with ADHD put themselves and others at risk. They often focus on rewards and not consequences of their actions.
This is also tied into what we previously mentioned with regards to the inability to learn from past mistakes. This lack of impulse control can have a negative impact on social relationships. For example, if a child with ADHD has little impulse control they can continue to break things such as toys which does not make for a good friendship.
