ADHD Signs and Symptoms to Look Out For

4. Ignoring Danger

Avoiding danger is a critical skill to have. This is why we teach our children to look both ways before crossing the street. However, children with ADHD might be more reckless and also might continue to put themselves in similar dangerous situations.

According to Parenting.com, children with ADHD “…may not make the connection between actions and consequences the way parents expect.” For example, they might be told time and time again not to skateboard inside the house, get hurt doing so, but continue to do so since they are unable to clearly see the link between their behaviour and the outcome.
