Give Them Some Downtime
Kids need time to be kids, give them that. Playing is how children learn, grow and process the world around them. Thus, on an especially difficult day, it’s really important for them to have some unstructured play time.
Play will look different depending on your child and their needs. For some this might be some alone time to decompress with some dolls or action figures, for others it could be running around like a crazy squirrel in the back yard. Whatever their needs are, give them that time and space. You will be rewarded.
