Signs Your Child Has The Flu

Emergency Signs of Flu

As we mentioned above, it is rare for those who are over the age of five with healthy immune systems to die from the flu. This is also why it is important not to bring your child to the ER unless their symptoms are severe. Doing so can put them at higher risk of contracting something else. Instead, you should bring your child to their pediatrician and avoid unnecessary emergency room visits. Especially when you are new parents, it can be tempting to panic and assume the worse since panicking will not help. However, if your child happens to experience any of the following symptoms, call 911: difficulties breathing, breathing faster than usual, bluish skin, a lack of fluids, inability to wake up or interact normally, a lack of tears when crying, a fever with a rash, and difficulties eating.
