A positive aspect of no longer being in your twenties is that you have likely figured out what you want to do with your life both personally and professionally. The sad reality is that it is hard out there for twentysomethings to find employment, let alone something in their desired field. Think about it, in your twenties five years of experience seems like an impossible achievement, while at 40 it’s just a blip on your career timeline. In addition, when you are in your twenties there is so much pressure to get the right job, meet the right person and get your shit together. By the time 40 rolls around most people are settled into their careers, have established a family and have a better understanding of their value.
