Make Your Child’s Bedwetting a Thing of the Past

7. Avoid Drinks Before Bed

Again, if your child’s bladder is empty then they’re less likely to have an accident. This means that you should avoid giving your child anything to drink like water or milk right before bed. Instead, get in the habit of providing lots of water after school, and with dinner so that your child stays well hydrated without going to bed with a full bladder.

If your child is used to having a drink before bed, try substituting a snack instead. Fruit like watermelon, cantaloupe or strawberries are healthy, juicy treats that won’t fill your child’s bladder.
