Home Remedies: 7 Natural Pain Relievers for Children

6. A Hairdryer

Earaches are one of the most common health concerns in children. If you prefer not to use an over the counter medicine to help your child with their earache, or if these medications don’t seem to provide enough relief, one way to help with an earache is to use a warm compress like using the handy rice in a sock, as we discussed above.

Another solution is to use a hairdryer on the lowest setting (please be careful not to burn your child’s ear) about a foot and a half away from your child’s ear for a period of fifteen minutes. If this doesn’t seem to work, or if your child’s symptoms worsen, bring them to see a doctor.
