Common Health Problems in Babies

Infrequent Pooping

As adults, many of us understand the importance of having a bowel movement at least once a day. According to one source, ChildrensMD.org, believe it or not, up to 18 days without a BM for an infant can be considered normal. After the first two months of life, many babies go a full five days without pooping. According to this source, “breastfed babies, especially if they have not started solid foods, can easily go two weeks without a poopy diaper once they are 2-3 months old.”
