7. Poor Reading Ability
Like we mentioned above, dyslexic children tend to see the “big picture.” This is also true when it comes to reading and verbal comprehension. For instance, children with dyslexia might not be able to break down words in order to be able to hear each of the individual songs in a word.
This inability to do so often causes reading that takes longer, especially when new or longer words are introduced. Children with dyslexia also tend to ignore single words in a sentence like “at” or “to” and therefore are less able to fully grasp the meaning of a sentence.
